About Me

My photo
I was born in Glasgow, Scotalnd and moved with my family to Geelong, Australia in 1981. I love to cook, I love to craft and I love to remember days now gone. This blog is as much for me as it is for anyone else, It's a way to express, share and remember. Linee pronounced Line-e is a name giving to some years ago by a friend’s daughter who found it difficult to say Caroline as a little girl, over the years it has stuck and now I am known to many as Linee.

Emu Dreaming - Waterholes

The Yuendumu community lies 280 kilometres north west of Alice Springs along the red, dusty Tanami Track and has approximately 1000 mainly Warlpiri speaking residents.
A number of years ago I visited this community with some friends from Geelong as part of a cultural & mission trip. During our visit another friend and I were keen to buy some Aboriginal Art that was painted on the Community.
Above is one of my purchases - Emu Dreaming Waterholes - Emu going to drink water in the waterholes. The painting is on canvas and was more recently framed and Today it has found a spot on my wall in our lounge room.
